We caught up with the brilliant and insightful James Robinson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

James, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.

I am a third generation trial lawyer, I have one brother that is a judge and another brother who is an attorney. My twin brother is a retired physician (internist specializing in infectious disease). I was extremely successful award winning lawyer, with the highest ratings of my peers. In 2004 I had a nervous breakdown due to stress and burn out. I was diagnosed with PTSD from adverse childhood experiences and 5 near death experiences. As a result of my “nervous breakthrough”, I began a spiritual journey which has resulted in a highly successful healing and mentorship practice helping professionals and entrepreneurs suffering from stress and anxiety.

James, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I am a licensed attorney (inactive) who specializes in healing physical, mental, emotional and spiritual problems of my clients in all areas of life. I have multiple healing and coaching certifications (over 30 certifications) and over 100 hours of psychiatric and psychological training in trauma recovery. I am a recognized expert in stress and anxiety management and speak regularly at bar association meetings and conventions on mental and emotional health. I am regularly published in national legal and healing journals. I have written 5 books with more in progress. I am involved in producing documentaries about energy healing and expanding our understanding of energy. My first documentary “Beyond Physical Matter” which highlights my healing journey, will be released in January 2024.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

Many people, including myself, were taught at an early age that the world is a dangerous place. As a result, our egos were trained to be overactive sentinels of danger which keeps us in fear of the future. This is extremely unhealthy, and when we focus on danger, that is what we will find. I have been catastrophically injured numerous times, primarily because I was focused on what could go wrong and that is what I manifested. Because of my healing abilities, no one would know of my catastrophic past. The world is not a dangerous place, it is a place filled with opportunity and delight.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?

A healer is only as good as his/her vibration and frequency which is evidenced by their thought patterns. Healers have to constantly be aware of their thoughts, emotions and motivations and focus on positive thoughts, emotions and motivations. These are based on beliefs and we have to constantly be asking ourselves, where did that thought/emotion/motivations come from, and what is underneath all of it. When we clean out our subconscious of negative beliefs and judgments, we can bring pure healing energy to our clients.
